During my participation in the UK Chemistry Olympiad (UKChO), I tackled challenging problems that tested my understanding of advanced chemistry concepts beyond the standard high school curriculum. The competition required me to apply theoretical knowledge to real-world scenarios, such as reaction mechanisms, thermodynamics, and analytical chemistry, often mirroring current research topics. I also developed strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills under timed conditions, working through complex multi-step questions that demanded both creativity and precision. The experience deepened my passion for chemistry and prepared me for university-level studies in the field. Ultimately, I managed to get a bronze prize in this competition.
