Earning a Regional Honorable Mention in the Canadian Chemistry Contest (CCC) was a rewarding challenge that pushed my understanding of chemistry beyond the classroom. The 60-minute exam tested my ability to solve complex problems in organic reactions, equilibrium systems, and kinetic calculations under time pressure. Though I didn’t advance to the national round, preparing for the contest strengthened my analytical skills—especially in interpreting molecular diagrams and applying thermodynamics concepts to unfamiliar scenarios. The recognition motivated me to deepen my independent study, and I now approach chemistry problems with greater confidence and curiosity.
